Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home Inc

In 1914, the Vandale Funeral Home began serving Roane County’s funeral needs with a Main Street location. The business moved in 1929 to its present location on Beauty Street, in what was formerly the Roane County Hospital and later the Lowe Hotel. Since 1929, the funeral home has undergone extensive remodeling and renovation, always with serving our customers in mind. A portion of the original porch was enclosed in the 1950’s to create an indoor lounge area, wings were added to the structure so that the building would be handicapped-accessible, and in the early 1970s an additional memorial chapel, which seats 200, was added to handle the growing business. Properties adjacent to the funeral home were purchased and converted into large, lighted parking area and a garage, monument room was constructed next to the funeral home.
