My name is Lori, and I am an end-of-life and dementia doula. My journey into this calling was deeply personal, shaped by the time I spent at my mother's bedside in the days leading up to her death. Witnessing death and dying firsthand was a life-changing experience. Along with my family and my mother, I faced the complexities of death and dying for the first time as an adult. My life experiences, training, and work as a doula drive my dedication to support others facing the end of their life. As a doula, I serve as a compassionate guide, offering companionship, emotional support, and a listening ear. I provide emotional comfort and spiritual support, help navigate choices, answer questions, and offer support so you can focus on what truly matters. I assist in planning and fulfilling final wishes, guide individuals through life review and legacy building, and help plan meaningful farewells. My unwavering support and calming presence also extend to loved ones, offering comfort and companionship as they grapple with loss and begin the grieving process. I have specialized training to support people living with dementia and their loved ones. I help individuals and caregivers to understand the unique care journey ahead. Dementia is an end-of-life diagnosis, and education and support make a difference in providing a quality of life for everyone affected. I work with families to understand how to care for their loved ones best for their circumstances. My purpose as a doula is to ensure that those facing the end of their lives and their loved ones feel supported, informed, and guided throughout their end-of-life journey.
