  • Is it accredited by organizations like The Joint Commission or CARF?

  • What is the staff-to-resident ratio?
  • Are there registered nurses on staff 24/7?

  • What are the qualifications and training requirements for staff members?
  • Are staff members trained in specialized care, such as dementia care or rehabilitation therapy?

  • What types of services does the facility offer (long-term care, short-term rehab, memory care, etc.)?
  • Are there specialized programs for specific conditions or needs?

  • What is the facility’s track record for quality of care and patient satisfaction?
  • Are there any ratings or reviews available from residents, families, or regulatory agencies?

  • What safety measures are in place to prevent falls, accidents, or wandering?
  • Is the facility equipped with security systems to ensure resident safety?

  • What amenities are available to residents (dining options, recreational activities, outdoor spaces, etc.)?
  • Are there additional services such as transportation, salon services, or religious services?
